About Me

I was first introduced to yoga as a child by my father who had travelled to India to immerse himself in a spiritual practice. I’d always bear witness to him sitting quietly meditating or practicing sun salutations in the garden and was drawn to the practice. By the time I was 14, I had built up my own personal practice and 10 years later decided to take up a 500 hour teacher training with the British Wheel of Yoga.

Yoga and it’s philosophy is a complete way of life for me and over the years I have used it as a tool for health, vitality and connection. I love to help people find ways of incorporating a yogic mindset into everyday life and that which begins as a physical practice, is so much more than that.

I have taught people of all ages and levels and having had a fair few injuries and challenges with anxiety, I have explored the many ways yoga can heal. I look to create a space where yoga can be a supportive, inclusive and loving environment for all of our modern day challenges and joys.

In terms of the way I teach – I like to give a real focus on honouring each pose by giving time for the body to unravel and build strength and awareness over time.

I run a regular 11.00am morning session at Oru Space and love teaching outdoors.
